Yehudah Glick: Following the Ark of the Covenant [Book of Joshua 3]

Yehudah Glick starts chapter 3 of the Book of Joshua in this video. The President of Shalom Jerusalem Foundation begins his teaching by reminding us of how God was teaching the Jewish people and preparing them for a world with real struggles and real problems.

They will be entering the land of Israel where daily miracles of the desert will cease to exist and the people will have to work with their hands, and no longer expect miracles to happen in their lives.

In this chapter, when the Israelites are about to cross the Jordan river, Joshua insisted that the people follow the ark and keep their distance of 2000 cubits behind the ark. What did he try to convey through this act? What is G-d trying to teach through this?

Listen to Yehudah Glick’s explanation.
